Marat Khusnullin: The priority tasks of the Ministry of Construction are housing and infrastructure
On Wednesday, 22nd of January, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin held the first working meeting in the Ministry of Construction of Russia, at which he outlined the key tasks facing the department. “At a meeting with the President and the Prime Minister, a specific task was set to make fundamental changes so that the construction industry becomes one of the main drivers of the country's development. We must draw up work plans for national projects and prepare all the necessary solutions that will bring the industry to a new level and will produce results every year,” - said Marat Khusnullin. Vice Prime Minister outlined the priority areas for work in the near future. “Among the tasks are the elaboration of the regulatory framework and the release of construction from unnecessary restrictions, a fundamental change in the approach to pricing. In addition, there is a serious question on emergency housing and overhaul - it is necessary to once again assess the situation and raise the issue of increasing the volume of financing for overhaul repairing,” - said Marat Khusnullin.
The Deputy Prime Minister of Russia separately emphasized the importance of maintaining high volumes of housing construction and resolving issues of equity holders in the country. The head of the Ministry of Construction noted that in order to achieve the goals set in the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”, a comprehensive approach is needed, the construction and modernization of communal infrastructure, the resettlement of emergency housing, the implementation of the individual housing program come to the fore - a document has been prepared and sent to the government. “In order to enter the construction site at the pace indicated by the commissioning of housing, all processes must be parallelized. We have developed a program for the modernization of communal infrastructure with a degree of depreciation of more than 60 percent - not only intra-quarterly, but also trunk - 60+. We discussed it with the regions and are ready to defend the project. As for individual housing, an experiment is being conducted in a number of regions, then their experience can be extended to the whole country, ” - the head of the Russian Ministry of Construction emphasized.
