Mintimer Shaimiyev awarded with Order of Merit of the Union of Builders of Russia

Today, State Councillor of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Republican Fund “Vozrozhdenie” Mintimer Shaimiyev presented builders with state awards.

Mintimer Shaimiyev reported that the awarding ceremony was to be held on the Builder's Day in August, but the builders had asked to defer the event to a later date. Therefore, it was decided to organize a ceremony this day.

 “We did not know about these snow storms, but we're stronger than the circumstances. We decided to meet today to honor your contribution to our noble work. We are pleased that there is such a group of builders including architects, designers, archaeological surveys, scientists and restorers united by the work on the revival of Bolgar and Sviyazhsk”,  said the State Councillor of the Republic of Tatarstan adding that he had no doubt  that the work was after everyone’s heart.

He said that Bolgar and Sviyazhsk were being restored. Currently the work is being carried out at 61 objects.

In 2011-2012 in Sviyazhsk construction, repair and restoration work was carried out at 14 objects including a unique Trinity Church, Konstantin and Yelena’s Church, Fraternal housing of Dormitory Monastery, a poorhouse, a monastery school, Stable yard and etc. Moreover, new houses for local people are being built in Sviyazhsk. A new wellness center for children who have had severe diseases will be constructed in the town.

In 2011-2012 in Bolgar 10 objects were commissioned. These are Memorial Sign, White Mosque with the largest printed Koran in the world, Museum of Bread, Doctor’s House and others. Unique protective structures over Khan's Palace were constructed; the work is being completed at River Station. Mintimer Shaimiev noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin had highly appreciated the work done in Bolgar and Sviyazhsk.

The State Councillor said that issues related to funding from the federal and republican budgets had already been solved. There is also the support of the population transferring money to Fund “Vozrozhdenie”.

Director General of “Tatar Special Scientific and Restoration Department” CJSC Yury Yegorushkin was given a title of “Honored Builder of the Republic of Tatarstan”. Moreover, Gratitudes of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan and letters of appreciation of Republican Fund “Vozrozhdenie” as well as certificates of honor of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan were awarded today.
