Amendments to the Federal Law No.185-FZ “On the Fund assisting restructuring of housing and public utilities” adopted

Today, a meeting on the amendments to the Federal Law No. 185-FZ “On the Fund assisting restructuring of housing and public utilities” took place in the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan. The meeting was held by Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing A.M. Frolov.

It is to be recalled that President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin approved the amendments to the law on the development of the system of financing major repairs of apartment houses which introduces required monthly payments for apartment owners.

According to the document a minimum monthly payment for major repairs will be set by a regulatory act of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation on the basis of the guidelines of the authorized federal body. In this case, at a general meeting the owners will be able to set the amount of payments in excess of the minimum specified payment.

At the moment the Republic should develop a transparent monitoring system which will include all houses to be repaired. The system will allow the owners to know the timing of repairs in their houses.
