Delegation of the Volgograd Region visits technopolis “Khimgrad” and a number of sports facilities of Kazan

Today the delegation of the Volgograd Region headed by Governor of Volgograd Region Sergey Bozhenov visited technopolis “Khimgrad” in Kazan. The guests were accompanied by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov.

It is to be recalled that the delegation will stay in Kazan for two days (January 15th-16th, 2013).

The representatives of the Volgograd Region got acquainted with the activity of technopolis “Khimgrad” as well as the activities of the companies located in the technopolis, in particular, with products of “Danafleks-Nano” CJSC. The Aquatics Palace was the next facility attended by the delegation. This sports facility located on the bank of Kazanka River is one of Russia's largest indoor sports facilities. The Aquatics Palace will become a competitive arena for water sports world championships in 2015. The guests were also shown a number of transport infrastructure facilities of Kazan. Some of the facilities were built within the preparation for the World Summer Universiade in Kazan in 2013.

Then the representatives of the Volgograd Region visited the construction site of Rubin Arena football stadium with the capacity of 45 thousand seats. This facility will house the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the Summer Universiade 2013; and in 2018 the stadium will held FIFA World Cup. The new football stadium is being built in accordance with the requirements of FIFA.
