The volume of work performed in construction in 2020 amounted to almost 370 billion rubles - at the level of 2019. This was announced today by the Minister of Construction, Architecture, Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin at the final board of the department. The minister noted that in terms of housing construction, the construction industry kept the previously achieved indicators: 2 million 680 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned. The republic is in the TOP-5 regions of the country in terms of housing construction. Almost 40% of housing built in 2020, or 1 million 11 thousand square meters, was investment. Developers are actively using escrow account mechanisms. Within the framework of individual housing construction, 11 thousand houses with a total area of ​​1 million 452 thousand square meters were built. 153 houses with a total area of ​​216 thousand square meters were built under the social mortgage program. The head of the department drew attention to the fact that the launched federal program of mortgage benefits at 6.5% per annum played a key role in stabilizing the housing market. Over the past year, 10,492 soft loans were issued in the republic for a total of 27 billion rubles. For the individual housing construction market, an effective measure was the rural mortgage program with a rate of up to 3%, according to which 1,639 loans were issued in Tatarstan. Their total amount was 3.6 billion rubles. Much work is being done to resolve the problems of defrauded equity holders. In 2020, including thanks to the republican mechanisms, 7 objects were commissioned for 398 equity holders.

Marat Aizatullin reported that 1,063 apartment buildings were repaired in the reporting year. More than 900 facilities have been repaired and built as part of utility infrastructure modernization programs. In 2020, housing and communal services enterprises provided their services to consumers for 43 billion rubles. There is a high level of payment discipline - the collection rate is over 98%. Among the main tasks for the current year, the minister outlined such areas as an increase in the volume of housing commissioning, the final solution of the issue with defrauded equity holders, the resettlement of citizens from emergency housing, as well as the further implementation of republican construction and capital repair programs. During his speech, General Director - Chairman of the Board of the State Corporation Fund for Assistance to Housing and Utilities Reform Konstantin Tsitsin urged to pay special attention to the issues of resettlement of citizens from emergency housing, the development of energy-saving mechanisms. He also noted that the experience of the republic in terms of creating a comfortable urban environment will be in demand in the development of the urban science industry.
