Today, a new plant producing gypsum-based construction materials was started up in village Syukeyevo in Kamsko-Ustyinsky area of Tatarstan. The opening ceremony was attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin.
The new plant was built by company “Fonika” and it took 4 years to do it; the amount of the investment amounted to 5 billion rubles – these are proprietary funds and loans of “Sberbank”. The payback period is 4.5 years. It is the largest complete cycle plant producing gypsum construction materials in Tatarstan.
An underground mining complex for the extraction of gypsum and limestone quarry, including a gas piston power plant and production lines for dry building mixes and gypsum plasterboard was constructed within the territory of the gypsum mine; and in the 3rd quarter of 2013 a production line for gypsum partition blocks is to be started up. The production lines are equipped with advanced foreign equipment, and 450 jobs have been created in the plant.
The annual production capacity is 120,000 tons of dry building mixes, 15 million square meters of gypsum plasterboard and 300,000 square meters of gypsum partition blocks per year. The planned volume of production is 2.2 billion rubles a year. This volume achieved, the company plans to occupy 5% of the Russian market by 2015. Products will be sold under brand name “Aksolit”.
Welcoming the participants of the ceremony President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov said that the start-up of the plant was an event of the federal scale. “There is a modern plant for gypsum production, including mining and production”, said the President. “The enterprise value is 5 billion so far, but I hope for further development”, added Rustam Minnikhanov.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Kamsko-Ustyinsky area had needed investment, and it had come in the form of a new enterprise. “450 jobs have been created and a residential village has been built. I think this is very competent and adequate investment”, - said the President of Tatarstan.
He congratulated the guests of the ceremony with Sabantuy and presented state awards to employees of the company. Chairman of the Board of Directors of company “Fonika” Aleksandr Zabarsky was awarded with medal “For Valorous Labor”.
In his turn, Aleksandr Zabarsky thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for the support of the project. “We did it thanks to the joint efforts of government and business”, said Aleksandr Zabarsky.
After the official part the guests were shown the new enterprise.
