Issues of expanding the use of petrochemical products in the construction industry were discussed in Kazan

The issues of expanding the use of republican petrochemical products in the construction industry were discussed today at a round table meeting at the Kazan Expo IEC within the framework of the Tatarstan Petrochemical Forum-2023. The round table was attended by the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The first Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexey Frolov held a meeting.

Opening the meeting, Alexey Frolov noted that the issues of the use of petrochemical products of republican production in the construction industry are becoming more relevant every day. The mineral resource base and the developed branch of the construction industry of the republic allow us to produce a wide range of construction products, both from traditional materials and from innovative ones with improved characteristics.

"I am confident that our joint work with commodity producers, designers and builders will help to improve the quality, durability and reliability of buildings, structures and other infrastructure facilities being built," the First Deputy Minister said.

During the round table, a number of companies presented their developments used in construction and housing and communal services. So, LLC "Teplopanel Kama" presented an energy-saving ceiling climate system capable of heating and cooling large rooms. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to consider the possibility of using this system at the industrial sites being created.

A representative of Vice City Systems LLC spoke about the smart home system, which allows remote control of water supply, lighting devices, monitoring the operation of the intercom and parking. "These systems are very interesting. We are going to ensure that these services are used more often. We like your innovations," Rustam Minnikhanov said.

The General Director of LLC "Maf Plast" Rashid Saifutdinov presented products used in the improvement of public spaces from eco-friendly materials. In particular, the company produces benches, urns, planters, tables and chairs. 50% of the material used is recyclable. "These materials have competitive advantages. Products made of them are more wear-resistant and vandal-proof. The Foundation "Institute of Urban Development of the Republic of Tatarstan" needs to write a technical task and indicate what kind of MAFAS we need, including lighting, design, and so on," Rustam Minnikhanov said.

Vasily Agafonov, General Director of Alternative Technologies LLC, spoke about modern materials for waterproofing and anti-corrosion protection. The company offers solutions for the protection of concrete and metal surfaces, which extends the service life of concrete up to 80%. "The foundation is the most important thing. Let's see how and where we can use your solutions. In addition, your protective equipment can also be used on bridge structures," Rais RT said.

Innovative solutions for the construction industry, housing and utilities and the oil and gas sector, implemented using products of the petrochemical industry, were presented by the General Director of POLYPLASTIC Privolzhye LLC Evgeny Khokhlov.

"Everything that was proposed today is of great interest to the republic. We are a large consumer of materials, we are implementing large programs for the construction and modernization of engineering infrastructure. The main thing is that there should be a result," Rustam Minnikhanov summed up the round table meeting of the Rais of Tatarstan.

The round table was attended by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko, heads of republican departments, heads of petrochemical enterprises, KGASU, construction organizations and customer services.
