The objects in the historical center of Kazan were visited by the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, accompanied by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin.
The first object of inspection was the building of the Fire station in the Admiralty settlement. The building of the 30s of the 20th century was recognized as an emergency and was subject to demolition. With the support of the RT Raisa, the facility was preserved and mothballed. During the inspection, Rustam Minnikhanov was presented with the proposal of the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs of the Executive Committee of Kazan on the conversion of the depot into a youth center for the training of future designers and engineers. Rais supported the proposal of the committee and gave instructions for the inspection of the building.
The next object of the visit was the Fisherman's Garden. The landscaping works were carried out in two stages. Pedestrian paths were restored in the garden, a tennis court and a basketball and volleyball court appeared, as well as an updated workout area. In addition to the playground, a stage with an amphitheater and street musical instruments were installed in the garden.
An 18th-century residential house built on Gayaza Iskhaki Street also became an object of inspection. Today, only 30% of the total volume of the building has been preserved. The RT Raisu was presented with options for restoring the object and its functional application.
Then the delegation got acquainted with the results of the improvement of Yunusovskaya Square. The implementation of the project was supervised by the Institute of Urban Development of the Republic of Tatarstan. The first stage of landscaping began in 2022. Lighting appeared on the territories, pedestrian paths were repaired, small architectural forms were installed – benches, urns and chests, new trees and shrubs were planted.
The next object was the Alexandrov-Petzold brewery complex of 1905. The Petzold plant improvement concept provides for the placement of a gallery, a restaurant of Tatar national cuisine, offices, a coworking, a hotel, as well as public spaces.
At the end of the detour, the delegation visited the Park of Culture and Recreation named after Gorky. As part of the landscaping, old pedestrian coverings have already been replaced here, landscaping works have been carried out, a new public transport stop pavilion has been erected, small architectural forms have been installed – benches, urns, sun umbrellas. A bicycle path has also appeared along Yershov Street.
