The President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov visited a number of sites in the historical center of the city of Chistopol. He was accompanied by Assistant to the President of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan Irada Ayupova, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin, Chairman of the Committee for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Ivan Gushchin, Chairman of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Tatarstan Sergey Ivanov, head of the Chistopol district Dmitry Ivanov.
So, Rustam Minnikhanov got acquainted with the progress of the construction of a new marina. Today, the building of the passenger pavilion is ready, work continues on the landscaping of the adjacent territory and the construction of the mooring wall. It is expected that the new facility will have a positive impact on the tourist attractiveness of the city. The project is scheduled to be completed this year.
Rustam Minnikhanov suggested using the pavilion to work with young people after the end of the navigation period: to place a teen club here, to hold various events for children.
The next object was the site of the future guest house on Markina Street. The project was presented on May 21, 2024 at a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Urban Development in Historical Settlements. Based on the results of the review, it was recommended to finalize the architectural solution of the hotel. Today, Rustam Minnikhanov was presented with several new facade design options, one of which was adopted as a basis.
Then the Rais of the Republic inspected the Alexandrovsky night shelter, which is an object of cultural heritage of regional (republican) significance. According to the Concept of sustainable development of the historical settlement of Chistopol, it is recommended to use the building as a tourist information support center. Rustam Minnikhanov also suggested organizing parking for tourist buses nearby.
It is planned to open a training center for young IT specialists and workshops for local artisans in the complex of buildings of merchant Chelyshev. The premises are empty for today. Rustam Minnikhanov instructed to inspect the buildings and make a decision on further repairs.
Next, he visited the cultural heritage site of local (municipal) significance "The building of public places, the middle of the XIX century.", built in 1847 as a residential house of merchant Meshkichev. Currently, the building houses the architecture and urban planning services of Chistopol, offices and residential apartments. In order to preserve the facility, the district management has carried out work on repairing the roof and strengthening the floors of the first floor of the stairwell. Instructions have been given for the building to conduct a survey and update the project.
Rustam Minnikhanov, in turn, called on the city's leadership to take care of cultural and historical monuments. "Chistopol is a unique city with a rich history. A lot of original architecture has been preserved here. You have a huge tourism potential. It needs to be implemented correctly. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully approach the reconstruction of facilities and new construction on the territory of the historical center," stressed the Rais of Tatarstan.
