The issues of multi-apartment construction, innovative technologies and digitalization in the construction sector were discussed today at the international specialized exhibition of construction and finishing materials, technologies and equipment Stroika. The event was held in Kazan at the site of the Kazanexpo Exhibition Center.

At the plenary session within the framework of the exhibition, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Ilshat Gimaev made a report on the implementation of project financing in the housing market in the Republic of Tatarstan.

He recalled that in accordance with Federal Law No. 478-FZ of December 25, 2018, from July 1, 2019, Russian developers have completely switched from shared-equity construction to project financing using escrow accounts.

"Thanks to the transition to project financing of housing construction, the purchase of real estate in facilities under construction becomes safer and easier for citizens — the money of shareholders is protected in escrow accounts," the deputy minister noted.

To date, 128 developers are operating in the Republic of Tatarstan, 333 apartment buildings with a total living area of 2 million 934 thousand square meters are under construction, for which 24,434 contracts for participation in shared construction have been concluded.
