Rustam Minnikhanov, the President of Tatarstan, visited a number of sites in the historical center of Kazan. He was accompanied by Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin, Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and assistant to the Rais of the Republic Olesya Baltusova.
The first object in the detour program was the building of the former Alexander orphanage on Butlerova Street. Since 2014, the Institute of Archaeology has been registered here. Khalikova. The last major overhaul was carried out back in the 1980s. In 2022, emergency work was carried out: builders strengthened the foundation and walls. After inspecting the premises, Rustam Minnikhanov instructed the Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites and Tatinvestgrazhdanproekt to develop design and estimate documentation for further repair and restoration work.
Next, the Rais of Tatarstan inspected the new square "Kazan platbands" on Gruzdev Street. So, today another platband was opened here - the only one in the square with a star and shutters. Back in the 50s of the last century, he decorated the house of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Over time, the family moved, and they decided to demolish the dilapidated house. The casing was preserved and transferred to the museum.
After that, the Rais of Tatarstan assessed the pace of restoration work in the historical quarter on Rakhmatullina Street/Trade union. The restoration work is being carried out in stages. So, Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the cultural heritage site of regional significance - the wing of the Sapugoltsev Estate. The works have already been completed here, and in the future it is planned to hold an exhibition of paintings, including works by Tatarstan artists.
The next object was the territory of the former Adonis factory and the cultural heritage site "House of Dryablov (Mikhlyaev), XVIII century." The house of Dryablov (Mikhlyaev) is a unique architectural monument of the Peter the Great era, the oldest civil building in Kazan. The building of the former Adonis factory is also a valuable historical building. The construction of the two-storey building began in the spring of 1825. Currently, the condition of the building is assessed as limited operational. The objects have historical and cultural value and features. Rustam Minnikhanov proposed to approach the restoration of these objects comprehensively, following the example of the historical quarter on Rakhmatullina Street/Trade union. He instructed to develop a concept for the future space and to carry out repair and restoration work in stages.
