The meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission on Urban development in historical settlements was held by the Rais of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov. The event was held at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan. Marat Aizatullin, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan, permanent members of the commission, heads of departments and members of the architectural community took part in the work.
Ilsiyar Tukhvatullina, the chief architect of the city, reported on the implementation of new construction projects on the territory of the historical settlement of Kazan. 11 objects were submitted for consideration by the commission: residential facilities, office buildings, a multifunctional complex, etc. During the discussion, the construction project on the street was rejected. St. Petersburg, the rest of the proposals received support.
Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that the approved projects should ensure the preservation of cultural heritage and valuable environmental objects, as well as not violate the established appearance of the territories. The Rais of the Republic also drew attention to the need to observe the number of floors, and when building housing, take into account the need for social facilities.
