Issues of implementation of masterplans of agglomerations will be discussed at the REBUS forum in Kazan

On November 14-15, the Kazan Expo IEC will host the Rebus Forum. Agglomerations: Experience. Opportunities. Challenges". This year, the forum will acquire an international format, bringing together participants from 23 countries, including China, Saudi Arabia, Brazil and Qatar, as well as representatives of 60 subjects of the Russian Federation. This was told today by the participants of the briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.

 

Among the key tasks of the forum is a joint discussion on the implementation of masterplans of agglomerations, approaches to the coordination of interests. In total, about 80 experts will speak during 17 sessions. The plenary session will be held on November 14.

 

All events this year are devoted to agglomerations, issues of their development, and the development of effective strategies for supporting cities. Issues of project implementation in practice, the implementation of developments in the life of regions and cities will be discussed separately.

 

One of the sessions will be devoted to the topic of introducing agglomeration into the legislative field. "Agglomeration processes are inevitable. It's not just a trend or a fashion statement. This is a natural development of territories in our country and abroad. It is no coincidence that much attention is paid to this," Vladimir Kudryashev, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan, said at a briefing.

 

In addition, the Forum "Rebus. Agglomerations: Experience. Opportunities. Challenges" will be held on the same site as the forum "SPROUTS", the events of which can also be visited.

 

The nature of the forum in 2024 will be practical, the results of the discussions will be concrete solutions and tools for strategic urban development. The results will be discussed at the state level with a view to their further application.
