Kazan State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (KGASU) was visited today by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Irek Fayzullin, Minister of Construction and Housing of Russia. The visit took place on the eve of the final board of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan. The Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan Marat Aizatullin took part in the visit.

Rustam Minnikhanov and Irek Fayzullin got acquainted with the activities of the scientific and educational centers "Geodesy", "Digital Roads", "Roads" and "Durability". All of them are housed in renovated premises.

The Geodesy Scientific and Educational Center develops the competencies of students and trainees of courses on geodetic support of construction processes at various stages, starting from the design and commissioning of buildings and structures. The guests were presented with a classroom equipped with specialized software products that allow them to process geodetic measurements, carry out in-house data processing, and create topographic materials and terrain models.

The Geodesy Center also has modern geodetic instruments so that students can practice their work skills. The floor in the room is presented in the form of a city plan, which can be used as an educational material. The training layout allows you to study the principles of constructing and creating topographic maps and plans using geodetic measurements.

The scientific and Educational center "Durability" was created with the aim of introducing scientific and innovative methods of designing building structures into the university's educational process, conducting experimental research on orders from construction industry enterprises and integrating the educational process with real production. The available equipment allows testing the strength of large structures, determining the mechanical characteristics of materials, and conducting tests at various temperatures.

KGASU was founded in 1930. The university trains highly qualified personnel for the architectural, construction, road and transport industries and housing and communal services, as well as provides their scientific support and competitive development. Currently, over 5,000 undergraduates and postgraduates study at the university.
