Rustam Minnikhanov, President of Tatarstan, and Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, visited the construction site of a MSW energy recycling plant

The construction site of the plant for the energy utilization of municipal solid waste was visited today by Rustam Minnikhanov, President of the Republic of Tatarstan, and Dmitry Patrushev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation. Explanations during the inspection were given by Vasily Belosevich, General Director of AGK-2 LLC.

The construction of a plant with a capacity of 550 thousand tons per year is underway in Zelenodolsk district. At the start of the project, the most efficient and widespread technology of energy waste disposal was identified - grate incineration.

In 2023, construction was suspended due to equipment problems. But already in 2024, an agreement was signed with a Chinese partner who will manufacture key equipment for the project. All technological parameters of the project will remain the same. The equipment will meet all the requirements of environmental regulations.

Vasily Belosevich, General Director of AGK-2 LLC, said that work on the construction of the plant had resumed. Today, the bunker department, the household engineering building are fully ready, the metal structures of the turbine electrical department have been installed, the foundations for boilers, the main building and the reception department are ready. Temporary structures, warehouses and sheds have also been built. Overall, the facility is 24% ready.
