The second day of the II All—Russian Municipal Forum "Small Motherland - the Strength of Russia" has started in Kazan. It is being held on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The organizer is the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMSU) with the support of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.
On behalf of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, the Parliament and the Government of the Republic, the participants of the second day of the II All-Russian Forum were greeted by the Chairman of the State Council of Tatarstan, Farid Mukhametshin. The event is attended by about 500 participants from 89 regions of the country.
"A lot is being done in Tatarstan to create a comfortable living environment. Social facilities, cultural and sports facilities are being built, not only in large and small towns, but also in rural areas," said Farid Mukhametshin.
Over the past ten years, more than 400 public spaces worth 33 billion rubles have been built or reconstructed from scratch in the region. The program "Our Yard" initiated by the Rais of the Republic is being successfully implemented. Since 2020, over 5,000 courtyards have been landscaped in Tatarstan. This year, 679 more yards will be put in order.
In addition, municipalities are actively involved in the implementation of state programs and national projects, which is changing the appearance of cities and villages. It is important that no decision on landscaping is made without discussion with the residents.
In his speech, Alexey Yeresko, Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation, said that in Russia, 4.5 trillion rubles will be allocated from various sources to modernize public infrastructure until 2030 as part of the new national project "Infrastructure for Life".
Currently, together with the Territorial Development Fund and the regions of Russia, a list of facilities is being formed that will be included in the comprehensive plan for the modernization of municipal infrastructure. The main task is to improve the quality of public services for more than 20 million citizens.
"I urge everyone to take a very thoughtful approach to identifying the objects that will be included in this program. Evaluate the development of the settlement, the need to modernize a particular facility, and assess your capabilities for further operation and maintenance of this facility," said the Deputy head of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation.
