When forming capital repair programs, municipalities are required to include measures to restore the operability of ventilation ducts and chimneys in those apartment buildings where there is an increased risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. This was stated by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan, Marat Aizatullin, at a briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan on the progress of the renovation of residential buildings in the Republic.
According to the head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan, financing of such works is carried out at the expense of the capital repair fund. This requires prior approval by making a positive decision at the general meeting of the owners of the premises.
In 2025, restoration of ventilation ducts and chimneys is planned in 24 apartment buildings.
