Rustam Minnikhanov: The main goal of implementing national projects and national programs is to improve the quality of life of citizens
The Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, addressed a Message to the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan for 2026 today.
The announcement of the Message took place within the framework of the 14th meeting of the State Council of the 7th convocation.
During the Address, the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan presented a comprehensive analysis of the internal and external situation of the republic, an assessment of the socio-economic development of the region and plans for the further development of the republic.
Thus, Rustam Minnikhanov stressed that thanks to the sustainable development of the economy, as well as the support of the federal center, the implementation of national projects and national programs continues throughout the republic, the main goal of which is to improve the quality of life of citizens.
"Over the past 5 years, a huge amount of work has been done: over 22,000 social facilities worth 540 billion rubles have been built and overhauled, and more than 15 million square meters of housing have been commissioned. For the fourth year in a row, the volume of housing commissioned exceeds 3 million square meters, and more than 600,000 families have improved their living conditions. These figures are greatly to the credit of our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, on whose instructions various support measures are being implemented – family, rural, IT mortgages and others," said Rustam Minnikhanov. "In addition, within the framework of the republican social mortgage, over 12,000 families – doctors, teachers, employees of enterprises and other budget sectors – received apartment keys, the problem of defrauded apartment building shareholders was completely solved, and the rights of more than 3,000 people were restored."
The Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan noted in his Message that the republic has radically changed its approach to landscaping, creating not just beautiful, but most importantly, functional spaces. "At the same time, special attention is paid to the involvement of residents in the decision-making process. This allows you to create truly sought-after public spaces that meet the needs of people of different ages and interests. Over the past 5 years, 5,174 yards of apartment buildings totaling 54 billion rubles, housing 1.5 million people, have been landscaped throughout the republic as part of the Our Yard program. Modern and safe spaces have been created for recreation, communication and parenting. The renovated courtyards have become centers of attraction for residents of all ages," the Message reads.
Over the past 10 years, 450 parks, squares, boulevards and embankments have been landscaped in all 45 municipalities for a total amount of 33 billion rubles as part of state programs for the development of public spaces.
One of the most serious and capital–intensive tasks for the next 5 years is the implementation of the republican program for the modernization of housing and communal infrastructure facilities. This area affects almost every resident of the republic.
