5 thousand 475 common heat meters were installed in Kazan. The situation with the heat consumption has become clear, as reported by the press service of OJSC “Kazan Heating Grid Company”. The regular Meeting of the Board of Directors of OJSC “Kazan Heating Grid Company” focused on the current issues of the enterprise. The meeting was chaired by Director General Rauzil Khaziyev. The report was made by chief engineer of OJSC “Kazan Heating Grid Company” Ashat Shakhanov. According to him, over the last decade, when reconstructing and constructing new heat lines, Kazan Heating Grid Company has been using pipes covered by polyurethane insulation equipped with the operative remote control system and pipes of “Izoprofleks” type for the centralized hot water supply system. The lifetime of such utilities increases proportionately with their diameter.

The analysis showed that currently 86.7 percent of damages to pipelines are accounted for district heating networks. Based on this analysis the Board of Directors recommended to replace the main networks and hot water supply networks in the amounts available to ensure the reliability of the heat supply. Moreover, it was decided to focus on increasing the reliability of apartment heating networks by using special insulation.

The shortage of funds for major repairs and reconstruction of hot water supply networks, buildings and equipment of central heating stations is increasing annually. The Board of Directors once again touched upon the issue of the automated installation of individual heating stations for hot water supply of residential houses.

The participants also discussed the necessity to improve the efficiency of the existing investment programs to reduce heat losses. By the end of 2014, their amount is expected to decrease by 2 percent relative to the level in 2012.

In 2013, Kazan Heating Grid Company actively installed common metering devices. As of December 1st, 2013, five thousand four hundred and seventy five such devices began operating. This means that 87.6 per cent of objects connected to the networks of Kazan Heating Grid Company are now equipped with technical innovations reflecting the real situation in the heat consumption.

OJSC “Kazan Heating Grid Company” offers optimal payment scheme when dealing with consumers. The dispatching system will build a new model of the effective and balanced relationships of a heat supplier and a management company, to organize and control the commercial account of heat flows at the stages of their distribution and use.
