Sergei Stepashin was appointed as Chairman of the Fund of assistance of the communal services reform.

Sergei Stepashin  was appointed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of state Corporation of Fund of assistance of reforming of housing and communal service.

Fund of housing was created in 2007 to provide financial support to the subjects of the Russian Federation and municipal entities. They are engaged in doing major overhaul of apartment houses, resettlement of citizens from emergency habitation. From 2013, the resources of the Fund are invested in the modernization of public utility infrastructure systems.
