Rustam Minnikhanov: “We assess the work of our construction sector as satisfactory”

An offsite meeting of the collegium of the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan on the results of the work of the construction sector in the first half of 2012 and prospects for development of industrial housing construction in the Republic of Tatarstan took place in Naberezhnye Chelny city. The President of the Republic of Tatarstan                 R.N. Minnikhanov, Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan I.E. Faizullin, members of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan, the officials of the Office of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan, the representatives of the State Council of the Republic of Tatarstan as well as heads of municipalities of the Republic of Tatarstan participated in the meeting.

Prior to the plenary session the participants visited the plant of reinforced concrete buildings construction in Naberezhnye Chelny city. The new equipment that will allow the enterprise to increase the amount of prefabricated reinforced concrete production was started up therein.

The meeting was opened by the President of the Republic of Tatarstan               R.N. Minnikhanov. In his speech he said that a lot of different objects were being built in the Republic. Firstly, these are objects of transport and sports infrastructure for the Universiade 2013 in Kazan. Serious work is being carried out at health care facilities. The program of construction of village first-aid stations, major repairs of housing and schools is being implemented. To the large-scale industrial construction projects in Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov referred the hydrocracking complex at TANEKO, the new plant, "Ammonia", the development of the SEZ "Alabuga" and the city of innovation being designed "Innopolis." In Kazan the agro industrial park  is being constructed at the moment.

A report on the status of the construction sector was made by the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan I.E. Faizullin. He reported that following the results of the first half of the year there was dynamic development of the construction sector. 13 objects of public infrastructure were started up in the Republic. The construction of large industrial and infrastructure facilities are being constructed. The amount of contracted work performed at the objects of capital construction is constantly being increased. For the first half of 2012 it equaled to 77.4 billion rubles and grew by 9.5% in comparison with the same period of the last year. The output of large and medium-sized enterprises of construction materials industry and building industry during this period increased by 44.4% and equaled to 10.9 billion rubles.

In his report Minister I.E. Faizullin noted that in the past few years labor productivity has been increasing in the construction industry.

The average output per employee according to the type of "construction" activity in January-May 2012 increased by 16.7% and equaled to 95.4 thousand rubles. The average monthly wage per worker of large and medium-sized enterprises of the construction sector for 5 months of 2012 increased by 12.6% and amounted to 26.437 rubles.
