The ministry has set up work to improve the legal and organizational tools and mechanisms to counter corruption. To assess and coordinate anti-corruption work, have been established a Commission under the Minister of Anti-Corruption and a Commission on Compliance with the requirements for official conduct of public servants and resolving conflicts of interest, composed of members of the Public Council, representatives of higher educational institutions and public leaders. In 2018, 6 meetings of the commissions were held. Work plans are reviewed and approved annually. The work was organized to provide independent anti-corruption expertise and public discussion of draft regulatory acts. In 2018, in order to prevent corruption-related factors, 134 draft regulatory acts were examined.
In 2018, representatives of the ministry took part in 22 on-site receptions of the information and consultation group on rendering free legal assistance to citizens living in rural settlements of the Republic of Tatarstan. In particular, trips to Bugulminsky, Leninogorsk, Sarmanovsky, Nurlatsky and other municipal districts of the Republic of Tatarstan were organized. The reception of citizens' appeals is ensured: to the postal address of the ministry, official e-mail, via the “Helpline”, as well as during the personal reception of citizens. In 2018, 6,681 complaints of citizens were registered in the housing, utilities sector and construction, which is 37% less than in 2016, and 15% less in 2017. Appeals of citizens to the ministry in the field of corruption have been reported.
