Vitaliy Mutko in Kazan: 7 million Russians are interested in rental housing

According to the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, social rental housing is necessary for young families, social workers, police officers. In Russia, rental housing is being built in insufficient volumes, although there is demand from about 7 million people. This idea was expressed by Deputy Prime Minister Vitaly Mutko, talking to reporters in Kazan. “As for housing, we need to focus on demand, which will determine whether it will be mortgage housing or rental. The issue that rental housing is underestimated here and we are not building it enough is a fact. We conducted a public opinion poll: 7 million people are ready if the mortgage will fall to a certain level, to take housing for rent,” - Mutko said. And he added: “Rental housing should find implementation in the project (the national project“ Housing and the urban environment ”- editorial comment), as well as housing purchased in the property.” The social rental housing is needed by young families, social workers, police officers, the Deputy Prime Minister of the country is sure. The implementation of the national housing project will be discussed today in the Kazan Kremlin with the participation of Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov. “By the way, we will talk about this topic (rental housing - editorial comment) today. Last year we built only one rental house throughout the country. This is clearly not enough,” - Mutko concluded.
