Rustam Minnikhanov noted that it is a great honor for Kazan to host the World Urban Parks Congress. “This is a great opportunity to continue to study, receive invaluable experience from the best world professionals and share our own experience. In 2015, the Tatarstan Public Spaces Development Program was launched. This year, this program received international recognition, becoming the winner of the Aga Khan Award in the field of architecture. This award showed that Russia is on a par with other leading countries in the development of public spaces,” - the President of the Republic of Tatarstan emphasized. “We, in turn, will be happy to share the experience of Tatarstan, to hear about the development of parks in other regions of our country. In addition, we will discuss the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”, exchange experience with our colleagues in the development of park spaces and their effective management,” - said Rustam Minnikhanov.
