Since the beginning of 2013 in respect of construction participants the Inspectorate of the State Construction Supervision of the Republic of Tatarstan issued 165 decisions, including 71 decisions on the objects of investment and private residential construction, 17 decisions on the objects of social mortgage program, and 2 decisions on the Universiade objects, for the violation of occupational safety standards. This was announced today by Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin at the republican videoconference meeting with all municipal areas of Tatarstan.
The meeting was chaired by President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and attended by Prime Minister of the Republic Ildar Khalikov.
According to the Head of the Ministry of Construction of Tatarstan the municipalities should intensify efforts of coordination councils for occupational safety under the executive committees, and make responsible persons to work every day to monitor the compliance with occupational safety standards.
“The attitude to occupational safety at construction sites of the Republic has not changed”, said Irek Faizullin.
Particular attention is paid to the cleanup at the construction site. The Minister recalled that according to the draft work execution a construction site must be equipped with a wheels washer; waste, accidental earth mounds, unused products and structures should be removed, and a storage hopper for construction waste should be installed.
Irek Faizullin said that the Ministry had instructed all owner/developers and contractors to hold event “Clean construction” every Wednesday from 13.00 to 15.00. “This event is not limited in time because the aim is not only cleaning and avoiding the contamination of construction sites, but also complying with occupational safety standards”, said the Head of the Ministry of Construction of the Republic of Tatarstan. The work in this direction will be continued; in case of failure to meet the sanitary standards set for the areas, the violators will be brought to administrative responsibility.
