Today, Agro-industrial Park started operating in Kazan. President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov was the first to visit the unique complex of Russia. He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, Minister of Economy of Tatarstan Midkhat Shagiakhmetov, Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Almaz Akhmetshin and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin.
The Agro-industrial Park is a technological complex aimed at the development of small and medium enterprises in the agricultural sector of the Republic. It occupies the area of 8.5 hectares; the area of the main building is 54 thousand square meters. Usable area is 13.8 thousand square meters; the complex also provides warehouses, a veterinary laboratory, and a cafe, a hotel for 38 rooms and production facilities for processing agricultural products. Currently, 257 residents sell their products; bread-making shop is already operating, and a workshop for processing meat products is to be started soon.
