Minister Irek Faizullin attends the final annual meeting of SRO

A large contribution to security, increased durability, reliability of construction projects, quality of the work performed, creation of safe working conditions, made by self-regulatory organization “Builders Association of the Republic of Tatarstan”, was noted today by Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov at the final annual meeting of the SRO. The meeting was held in Kazan and attended by Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic Irek Faizullin, Minister of Transport and Road Facilities of the Republic of Tatarstan Lenar Safin and others.

A report on the progress of self-regulatory organization “Builders Association of the Republic of Tatarstan” was made by its Chairman Rim Khalitov. He noted that the construction and installation work for 264 billion rubles, which is 20% higher than a year earlier, had been performed in 2012 in Tatarstan. 2.4 million square meters of housing were commissioned; major repairs were carried out in 949 apartment houses, 134 schools and 33 health care facilities. A considerable part of this work was performed by the members of the Association.

Currently, according to Rim Khalitov, the SRO includes 1,459 member organizations. The compensation fund of the organizations exceeded 900 million rubles.

Rim Khalitov drew the attention of the members of the Association to the necessity to comply with occupational safety and health requirements and proposed to declare 2013 the Year of occupational safety and health in the Association. He also asked to the builders to improve the construction sites appearance before the Universiade.

The participants approved the annual report of the organization and the report of the Audit Committee, and voted on several issues.

Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov thanked the Association for great and important work allowing to restore the order, reduce the number of different illegal acts and violations, to make the market of the Republic consist of honest and hardworking builders.

He recalled that the Builders Association of the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the largest regional self-regulatory organizations in the Russian Federation located in one of the fastest developing regions of the country.  Large-scale projects are implemented and major events are held in Tatarstan such as the Universiade, the World Cup in water sports and football. “28 new sports facilities, the Athletes’ Village have been built in Kazan; the construction of the football stadium for 45,000 spectators is being completed”, said Ildar Khalikov

According to him, the Republic is one of the leaders in the construction of housing, again ranking first in the PFD and entering the top ten among the entities of the Russian Federation. “As for 2013 the plan includes 2.4 million square meters to be constructed, and today a million thereof have been commissioned.  Thank you, colleagues, for the construction being made at a quickened pace this year”, said the Head of the Government of the Republic of Tatarstan.

At the end of the meeting Ildar Khalikov presented the state awards of the Republic of Tatarstan to the most distinguished members of the SRO and participated in the announcement of the results of competition “The best construction site”.
