65 percent of major repairs of apartment houses have been completed in the framework of the annual program on major repairs of apartment buildings in Kazan. 154 houses using 1.33 billion rubles are to be repaired in 2013. This was announced today by Chairman of the Hosing Department of the Kazan Executive Committee Iskander Giniyatullin.
The program is funded from the federal Fund assisting the restructuring of housing and public utilities - 59.8 million rubles, the RT budget - 463.7 million rubles, the city budget - 290.9 million rubles and homeowners’ funds - 518.9 million rubles.
These funds will be used to repair roofs of 78 houses, heating systems of 90 houses, cold water supply systems of 93 houses, hot water supply systems of 21 houses, sewage of 94 houses, electricity supply systems of 80 houses, as well as to repair facades of 83 houses and staircases of 87 houses. Moreover, 107 lifts in 32 houses will be replaced. 1397 lifts have been replaced, that is nearly one-third of the total number thereof installed in the city.
Thanks to the award from the Fund as well as the co-financing of the local budget and the funds of the owners of the premises, an additional amount of 36 million rubles has been allocated for major repairs of apartment houses to be spent mainly on the implementation of energy saving measures, such as the installation of weather regulation units. These measures are to be taken in 88 houses.
At the end of his speech, Iskander Giniyatullin assured the participants of the meeting that the program would be completed in time and would meet all the quality requirements.
Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin, in his turn, recalled that over 5 years of the program implementation nearly 1,400 houses had been repaired in Kazan. This is about 40 percent of the total housing stock requiring repairs.
“The great work has been done. I am glad that the contractors have learned to build relationships with residents of houses, and quickly to carry out the work on sewage replacement without creating problems and inconveniences to people. There are fewer comments, and the quality of work has improved”, concluded the Mayor.
