Tatarstan President meets the Head of the World Badminton Federation

Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met President of the World Badminton Federation Paul Eric Heyer and President of the Russian Badminton Federation Sergei Shakhrai. The meeting held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan was also attended by Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Badminton Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan, Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of the Republic of Tatarstan Aleksei Demidov.

Paul-Eric Heyer and Sergei Shakhrai visited Kazan in the framework of the World Summer Universiade 2013. The competitions in badminton will last until July 11th, 2013.

During the meeting the participants discussed the current state of badminton in Tatarstan and Russia and the prospects of development of the sport. In particular, one of the issues discussed was the construction in the Badminton Centre in Kazan.
