On major repairs of schools in Alkeyevsky area

Staro-Matakskaya secondary school is famous both for its educational work and sports as well as for its pupils’ success in studying. Its schoolyard site is worth to be admired, and there are 6 cattle animals and 11 pigs in its farm. It is expected that on September 1st, 2013 the school will welcome 103 children.  The school building was built and put into operation at the beginning of the school year of 1980-1981. Since then, any major repairs have not been carried out therein. The building is fully met the conditions of the program on major repairs of school buildings.

The school has everything including spacious corridors, properly equipped classrooms, and a gymnasium. But due to wear and tear the building has considerably grown old and lost its former appearance. Besides there are different demands for the educational work these days. In short, the major repairs started in time. 12 million 300 thousand rubles were allocated to carry out the repairs.

The repairs were started in early summer, and currently a large part of the planned work has been done. Most of the work at the facility is carried out by “Stroitelstvo” LLC from Kazan. The company already has experience in this area: it renovated the building of the therapeutic department of the central district hospital and schools of the area.

- Of course, we are very glad that our school was included in the program on major repairs - says head teacher Nina Sovetnikova. – The builders started work on May 18th 2013, but they have already done a lot to change the building: 74 old wooden windows have been replaced with plastic ones.

According to the head teacher, new windows have micropores for air entrance. Steel heating batteries were replaced with modern aluminum ones: they are lighter and more efficient. Bathrooms are located on the second floor of the building.

- 90 percent of the total amount of work has been completed and the walls are to be painted. All the work is to be completed by early August, - says foreman Murad Musayev. - We work around the clock; about 30 people are working at the site. The facade of the school will also be change a lot, you will soon see it.

By the way, about the changes. The overall layout of the school will also be changed. The dining room used to be in the basement, but now it will be on the second floor. The vacant basement will house a library and an assembly hall.

- The floors are also in bad condition. Now, the floors in all the rooms will be covered with new linoleum, and the floors in the corridors will be decorated with tiles. Taking this opportunity, I would like to thank the staff of the school because they are always ready to help us. Besides construction and repair work we have a lot of other wok to do. And when the school staff helps us it becomes much easier to cope with everything, - said the foreman.

The builders have done a lot of work: new doors were installed; the floors were decorated with tiles. So, Staro-Matakskaya school will welcome its pupils in the thoroughly renovated and completely changed building.
