Today, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev visited the Kazan underground. The Russian Prime Minister was accompanied by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and Russian Presidential Envoy in the Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich.
Dmitry Medvedev went to the Kazan underground at Aviastroitelnaya station. Director General of MUP “Kazmetroelektrotrans” Asfan Galyavov told the Prime Minister of the Russian Federation about the underground, saying that of the 10 existing stations 3 stations were opened on May 9th, 2013, and their construction had been carried out in preparation for the Universiade 2013.
The Prime Minister of Russia inspected the equipment for the screening of passengers. According to Asfan Galyavov, the Kazan underground is the most advanced one in the country in terms of security.
With the plastic card Dmitry Medvedev went through the turnstile and went to the platform. Here he tested an interactive information stand. These stands located at all the underground stations, provide passengers with background information and automatically advise a route to the desired destination.
The Head of the Government of Russia get to Severny Vokzal Station. Here he inspected the operation of the lift for the disabled installed under program “Available Environment”.
