Currently, the work on the reconstruction of the power supply of the territory of the Bolgar Museum is being carried out as part of the implementation of integrated project “Cultural Heritage of Tatarstan” initiated Republic’s Fund “Vozrozhdeniye” headed by State Councilor of the Republic of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiyev.
The final stage of the reconstruction of the power network will be the complete reconstruction of substation 110/10 kV Bolgary. This substation has been in operation since 1968 and is the main source of the power supply for the consumers of Bolgar and Spassky area.
Project “Reconstruction of substation110/10 kV Bolgary with HVL 10-110 kV” was approved by the State Expert Assessment Department. According to the project, transformers 2x6.3 MVA to 2x10 MVA will be replaced at the substation. The substation will be equipped with modern gas-insulated switches, reliable and high-speed microprocessor-based protection devices. The power facility will be equipped with a set of remote control equipment for operational equipment management, communication and arc flash protection. As part of the reconstruction project a new modular building with 10 kV integrated switchgear will be installed.
The general contractor is “Gidroelektromontazh” LLC. The renovation of substation Bolgary is to be completed in 2013.
At the moment, the vertical planning of area has been completed, the old building structures have been dismantled, receiving portals and HVL 110 kV have been installed, the foundations of the buildings of the main control room and integrated switchgear have been constructed and the lightning masts have been installed. The foundations for transformers and metal framework structures of the buildings are being installed. The installation of foundations and installation of the equipment of 110 kV modular integrated transformer substation are being carried out. The installation of the earthing loop of the open switchgear, outdoor water pipeline, oil drainage line with oil receivers has been completed; the external drainage is being constructed. The equipment is being supplied.
The progress of the reconstruction at the substation being conducted under the operating equipment had no impact on the operation of the feeding center. All the consumers fed substation Bolgary, are continuously power supplied.
The reconstruction of substation 110/10 kV Bolgary will significantly increase the reliability of the electrical equipment of the substation, and strengthen the reliability of the power supply for the consumers of Bolgar, Spassky and Alkeyevsky areas.
It is to be recalled that the construction of the Bolgar State Historical and Architectural Museum began in 2011. New facilities requiring new capacity and quality of the power supply network appeared.
When carrying out the work the energy workers taken into account the specifics of the location of the historical monuments of the ancient town. As a result, there were installed five transformer substations, reconstructed and constructed two 10 kV HV line feeders from substation 110/10 kV Bolgary by the loop scheme of power supply all the transformer substations.
Six modular integrated transformer substations and cable lines were installed for power supply of the facilities of the one-air Museum; the workers also mounted the lights for historical monuments. The power supply system and street lighting of the town of Bolgar were reconstructed. The total length of the constructed and reconstructed electrical networks 10/0.4 kV in Bolgar is more than 40 kilometers, as reported by the press-service of the Network Company.
