A briefing on changes in utility tariffs was held at the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan. Tariffs for housing and communal services for residents of most of the republic increased by an average of 10.8%. Tariffs were revised for the first time in 1.5 years. The briefing was attended by Alexey Frolov, First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Communal Services of the Republic of Tatarstan
"In addition to the regulated part of utility tariffs, the bill also includes housing services, which are approved at a meeting of owners, as well as payment for major repairs approved by a separate resolution," Alexey Frolov recalled.
According to the monitoring of data provided by municipalities, in the Republic of Tatarstan, the average fee for the maintenance of residential premises is slightly more than 34 rubles per square meter," Frolov noted.
"There is a significant differentiation of tariffs among municipalities for certain types of housing services," the first deputy minister said. He called on local governments and management organizations to explain and inform the population about tariffs for housing services at meetings of owners or on information stands placed in the entrances of residential buildings.
The increase in the level of fees is often not related to tariffs, but is related to the amount of consumption for utility resources. Here I draw attention to the need for each owner to carry out a timely check of apartment metering devices, the deputy minister noted.
The briefing was also attended by Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Tatarstan on Tariffs Alexander Grunichev, Acting Minister of Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Republic of Tatarstan Natalia Butaeva, Head of the State Housing Inspectorate of the Republic of Tatarstan Alexander Tygin.
