Today, a new plant producing gypsum-based construction materials was started up in village Syukeyevo in Kamsko-Ustyinsky area of Tatarstan. The opening ceremony was attended by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan Irek Faizullin.

The Ministry of Regional Development of the Russian Federation in cooperation with the Board of the Fund Assisting the Restructuring of Housing and Public Utilities developed and submitted a draft federal law “On amending the Federal Law “On the Fund Assisting the Restructuring of Housing and Public Utilities” to the Government.

Leadership o Tatarstan is very interested in the construction of a high-speed railway between Moscow and Kazan, and is ready to support “Russian Railways” JSC to implement the project. This was announced today by President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov during a meeting with First Vice-President of “Russian Railways” JSC Aleksandr Misharin. The meeting was held in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan and attended by Prime Minister of Tatarstan Ildar Khalikov and Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic Irek Faizullin. Opening the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov noted the importance of the development of high-speed railway service. According to the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, the construction of high-speed railways will promote economic development across the country, improve population mobility and relieve motorways.

The Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan held a videoconference meeting on the implementation of state program “Available Environment”.

Today, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Oleg Savelyev visited special economic zone “Alabuga”. The guests got acquainted with the progress of the construction of resident companies’ plants. The first to be visited was plant “Alabuga-Volokno” which will produce carbon fiber. Currently the equipment is being installed therein - Rustam Minnikhanov and Oleg Savelyev were demonstrated already installed furnaces to “bake” fiber. The management of the plant appealed to the President of Tatarstan with the request to provide stable power supply. Director General of SEZ “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleyev said that upon the commissioning of a new substation “Yelabuga 500” at the end of the year the plant will be provided with uninterrupted power supply.

Today, the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing held a meeting on the commissioning of the Universiade 2013 Venues. The meeting was chaired by Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing of the Republic of Tatarstan A.S.Akhmetshin.

Today, President of the Republic of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov met with member of the Executive Committee of FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association - International Football Federation, FIFA) Hani Abu Rida. Together they visited stadium "Kazan-Arena" being constructed within the framework of the preparation the 27th World Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan.

Today, within the framework of the visit of a delegation of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of Almaty the Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing of Tatarstan arranged a visit to the Universiade Venues such as the Tennis Academy, the Athletes’ Village, football stadium “Kazan Arena” and the Aquatics Palace.
